Oia (Greece), 4 star hotel Rates Check availability Ikies Traditional Houses - fabulous hotel with amazing view is located on the edge of a hanging cliff-side in Oia, overlooking the breathtaking sunset of the volcanic sea. Architecturally inspired by the age-old traditional local houses, which are carved out of pumice into the cliffs of the caldera, they are designed to make the visitor feel at home. The ten houses of the complex, each built on a separate level, cascade down the caldera cliff reaching the pool level at the bottom of the complex. Each house is furnished in the simple Cycladic style and the decor reflects local aesthetics, tradition and colour. The houses at Ikies combine traditional architectural features such as vaulted ceilings, painted concrete floors, traditional doors and windows with modern comforts. All the apartment’s private balconies afford spectacular views over the Caldera towards the volcanic islets and towards Oia itself. Each of our houses is named after a profession associated with Santorini and decorated with furnishings, objects and artwork relating to the respective profession. Our staff can arrange for car and motorbike rentals, guided tours of the island and its archeological sites, sailing trips, kaiki boat trips to the volcanic islets, scuba diving, picnic lunches and we will try to meet any other requests our valuable guests have. Dining facilities at Ikies Traditional Houses Continental breakfast is served to each house’s private terrace while our guests can enjoy relaxing drinks or long iced-coffees from our bar throughout the day but especially during the world-famous Oia sunset with its dramatic colours. Room facilities at Ikies Traditional Houses All the houses have kitchenettes which are fully equipped to prepare meals. Refrigerators and small stoves are available in all the houses. A shower is fitted to all houses with a heater to provide hot water, Hair Dryer, Direct Dial Telephone, Satellite TV, Music Player, In Room Safe Deposit Boxes, air-conditioning, internet access, Daily Room Cleaning Services. Studios House of the Gardener, House of the Boatman: One main room with Queen-size bed, kitchenette, shower and small verandah. The room can accommodate 2 persons. House of the Artisan: One main room with Queen-size bed plus 2 sofas, kitchenette, bar counter, shower and spacious verandah. The room can accommodate 2 adults and children. Maisonettes House of the Sailor: House with galleried bedroom (with Queen-size bed) and one in-built sofa in the living room (which can be used as single bed). It also has a fully equipped kitchenette, shower and private verandah. This maisonette can accommodate up to 3 persons. House of the Fisherman: House with galleried bedroom (with Queen-size bed) and two in- built sofas in the living room (which can be used as single beds). Two sofas in the living-room, kitchenette, shower and large private verandah. The house can accommodate up to 4 persons. House of the Winemaker: One main bedroom with King-size bed. Two extra in-built sofas and one traditional wooden sofa in the living-room. Separate kitchen, bathroom with shower and large secluded verandah. The house can accommodate up to 5 persons. House of the Antiquarian: One special main bedroom with King-size bed. Second bedroom with Queen-size bed plus two extra sofas in the living-room, separate kitchen, shower and large verandah. The house can accommodate up to 4 adults and 2 children. House of Carpenter: One special main bedroom with King-size bed. Two sofas in the living-room, separate kitchen, shower and large verandah. The house can accommodate up to 4 persons. Honeymoon Suites at the Ikies Traditional Houses there are 2 Honeymoon suites, which have the most secluded terraces with stunning views of the caldera and the sunset from the private outdoor hot tub and the exterior use futon. The large living rooms lead into the cave bedroom with a king-size bed and an ensuite dressing area. Recently were added the following facilities such as Jacuzzi bathtub and a steam room/ hamam, candles, flowers, added bathroom soaps, and extra services such as a sparkling wine breakfast. Collector’s House (Villa) it offers two separate bedrooms with king size beds, each with its own generous bathroom and ensuite dressing area, both carved deep into the volcanic cliff. The spacious living and dinning area with its characteristic domed ceiling opens out onto the unique terrace with its combination of complete privacy and breathtaking views of the caldera and the village of Oia. The Collector’s House also boasts its own private “spa” area (steam bath/hamam, rain shower Jacuzzi) perched on the edge of the terrace overlooking the caldera. Superior Studios at the Ikies Traditional Houses there are 2 superior studios which have a queen-size bed, a cozy living or dinning area, and a fully equipped kitchenette. The traditional bathrooms offer all modern conveniences. One of the studios has two sofas in the living area, which can accommodate teenagers. A private outdoor Jacuzzi is nestled in the corner of the terraces with views to the village of Oia and the caldera. Superior Suites 2 hotels superior suites have a living area with two traditional sofas, which can be used as single beds for teenagers, dinning table and fully equipped kitchenette, and a separate bedroom with a queen size bed and bathroom. One of the suites has a second bedroom with its own bathroom on a separate level. These houses have a private outdoor Jacuzzi with a wooden deck area nestled in the corner of their private terrace and an exterior use futon.
